Because everyone needs a hug…

Recovery Scarves has just begun… Stay tuned for what is to come!

Recovery Scarves Mission

….To help people heal body, mind, and soul through the power of a hug.  I (we) want to facilitate the generosity, kindness, and strength of others to help each other through life.  Our belief is that no one goes through life without pain.  Sometimes that pain is physical, but most often it is emotional or spiritual.  No one persons struggle or pain is greater than another’s…..it’s just theirs.  The scarves are a symbol of that hug we all need sometimes.  The purpose of buying a scarf is to give it to someone as a symbol that they are never truly alone and that the giver cares for them.  I truly hope that you buy one for someone you think could use a hug, whether that is a friend, child, stranger or ANYONE!  If you buy one for yourself that’s great, but I encourage you to tell someone you care.  Be a friend and give lots and lots of REAL hugs each and every day.

Please feel free to leave me a comment.  All comments have to be approved before they will post.  I WILL NEVER SHARE ANY INFORMATION WITH ANYONE UNLESS YOU REQUEST IT!  I would love to hear  why you bought a scarf.  If you would like to share it on the page let me know and I will share.  If you don’t want to share your story please make that clear.

  1. I purchased Naphtalie’s scarves for 2 cancer survivors, a polio survivor. a friend , for a wife whose hubbie just deployed to give her hugs and a few who have been under a good deal of stress. Have to admit I have 2 for me to remember my most favorite neighbor and the love she and her family have given to us (Naphtalie and her family).

What a beautiful way to tell someone you care and are there for them.

  2. Congratulations on personal recovery and beyond….sounds like Buzz Lightyear but I mean it. I am so proud of your appraoch to life, sickness, recover and all that God intended for you to be. Love always, Daddy

  3. Naphtalie, you are beautiful, as is your family…my daughter, Jody Markey, gave me a scarf for my birthday. Now, I will acknowledge the hug everyday when I wear it. From you, your family, my family. With love and prayers, Jeanette
